The Company
Our client is an established business for 35 years and one of Melbourne's largest decorative plaster and architectural moulding's manufacturers.
The Role
The Architectural Modeller is expected to do the following:
• From initial concept, design and make plaster, fiberglass and rubber moulds to produce casts of architectural features including but not restricted to cornice, arches, domes and columns in both plaster and concrete; mould types to include inlay moulds, piece moulds, slip moulds and running moulds.
• Establish product concept and develop mould design to meet specifications.
• Analyse & interpret plans.
• Plan & execute workflow reaching agreed target deadlines.
• Expected to work independently
• Coordinate, instruct and teach staff and apprentices the relevant skills to enhance their personal development.
• Replicate historical plaster enrichments to heritage standards.
• Accurate quoting of jobs for costing re scope of works.
• Have a genuine affinity in Historical replication works and an ability to visit site to deconstruct enrichments for rectification and remodelling.
The Ideal Candidate
• Minimum of 3 years experience in the same capacity
• Has the ability to approach responsibilities in a pro-active manner
• Has the ability to reliably & professionally communicate issues effectively
• Has the capability to plan and organise own activities and the ability to work unsupervised.
