Projects Manager – Maternity Cover (9 months-1 Year contract)
Reports to: Company Director
Staff Responsibilities: Approx 3 Project Coordinators, Project Administrator
Volunteer Responsibilities: None
About Eclectic Productions:
We are a small social enterprise providing opportunities in radio broadcasting and new media in disadvantaged communities. We specialise in fresh and innovative approaches to increasing life opportunities through improving skills, confidence-building and bridging divisions between different communities.
Purpose of Role:
The Projects Manager works closely with Company Directors and Project Coordinators ensuring projects are successfully delivered to high specification and within budget.
The role also includes a fundraising element, researching appropriate funding streams and writing applications, as well as supervision of office staff, line-managing three project coordinators and an administrator. Eclectic Productions is expanding during 2009, and there are excellent prospects to progress within the company after the completion of this contract.
Skills and Experience Required:
- A personable, friendly approach to managing people
- Good leadership qualities to inspire and motivate staff
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience of managing projects and/or core staff in a similar role
- A flexible approach in responding to changing needs within a project or the company
- Excellent writing skills to clearly articulate and explain projects in written fundraising applications
