Microsoft SQL reporting/query expert required for Property Management Software - London
THE COMPANY AND SITUATION:
A dynamic, up-and-coming property investment company requires someone with strong experience in Microsoft SQL query writing (specifically MS SQL, not Oracle SQL) for a systems interrogation and Microsoft SQL-based report writing role relating to their property management system (product name “Yardiâ€).
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Essential:
The following experience is essential for this role:
• A minimum of 4 years commercial experience in I.T., the majority of which should have included Microsoft SQL
• Your abilities in MS SQL should include both of:
o SQL query writing including various joins and sub-queries
o Ability to develop and test new MS SQL-based reports
• Experience of Transact-SQL including SQL queries views, functions and stored procedures
• An understanding of database design
• Experience of supporting a multi-user environment
Please note the above experience is essential, you require all of the above to be eligible for this role.
Desirable:
Experience in any of the following is desirable, but not essential:
• Experience of supporting users internationally, ideally across Europe.
• Experience working for a Property Fund Manager
• Experience working for an Asset Manager
• Experience working for an industrial property management business
• Experience of software specifically related to the property sector
• Experience of Yardi property database software
• Experience of APB property software
• Experience of MRI property software
ROLE:
The role is essentially a mix of user support, systems interrogation and Microsoft SQL-based report writing. You will be working alongside the existing systems administrator to ensure the successful use and management of the Yardi proprietary property database software within the company. This will include such tasks as developing and testing new Yardi MS SQL-based reports and developing ad-hoc MS SQL reports.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
This a brand new role due to expansion in which you will be mentored by the existing Systems Administrator. The opportunity here is to grow the role, in that you will be supporting all countries that currently use the Yardi product, but there are more countries taking on the product all the time, hence the growth in your role. There is the chance to have an impact on how the product progresses within the firm, as your ideas will be heard and welcomed.
