Trainee Inv. Manager
Central London – 27,000 + OTE (Upto 65k Potential Earnings)

In this role you will gain operational experience in both front and back office, with a view to qualifying as a Private Client Portfolio Manager. Your role will focus on reviewing client portfolios, ensuring the agreed investment strategy meets the needs of the clientThe trainee investment manager will ultimately assist in the management of multi-currency fixed-income portfolios with regard to duration, yield curve position and security selection investment decisions.
Main responsibilities will be to assist the senior portfolio manager in all daily investment tasks including cash management, investment mandates, guideline adherence, client communication and reporting.
Further responsibilities will include: - reviewing each portfolio on a monthly basis, ensuring they continue to meet the agreed portfolio investment mandate - preparing recommendations to present to Asset Managers for approval, then sending to clients - contributing to the investment management process - maintaining knowledge of ongoing legal and regulatory changes and variations to internal procedures As the Graduate Portfolio Manager you should also enjoy working in a busy environment, have a flexible approach to working, and be IT literate, with good Excel and analytical skills.
The successful candidate will ideally be working towards the IMC qualification, with good knowledge of a full range of fixed income instruments. The candidate will demonstrate a background of either fixed income or insurance market knowledge.
To be considered for this position, you must have a degree (or equivalent), excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with a range of people. You should also be able to take initiative and have an enthusiastic approach to delivering results.
