THE COMPANY AND SITUATION:

The most successful firm of financial advisers in Kuwait are now looking to expand their business with experienced financial services salespeople. The firm focuses on servicing the investment needs of high net worth individuals, bankers and private business people in Kuwait. The potential here is for high tax-free commission earnings and may well make a worthy bolt-hole from the consequences of the current recession here in the UK! Ideally, they would like someone with the additional business acumen to one day take over the running of this branch of the firm.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

The experience and attributes required for this role are as follows:

• A minimum of three years of experience in selling financial services, with a track record of success (Mortgage brokers, Bancassurers, Insurance, IFAs and tied agents are all acceptable)
• If not already FPC qualified, then willingness to undertake FPC
• A self-starter with no reluctance to cold-call!
• Computer Literacy, including Excel spreadsheets

Please note the above is essential – you require all of the above experience and attributes to be eligible for this role. The most preferred profile of candidate is an existing IFA used to working on a self-employed basis.

Desirable, but not essential, is in addition to your sales abilities, the business acumen to take over the running of this branch.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The prospect here is to become branch manager. This is primarily a sales position, and the sales pipeline will always need to be maintained, however for the right person, there is a genuine opportunity to take over the running of this entire branch office. The current owner now wishes to open new offices of the firm elsewhere in the world and is looking for the right person to take over their Kuwait office, for which you would be rewarded with shares in the company. What we are ideally seeking is someone with the drive and abilities to not only establish your own client base but to help expand the business as well. The owner of this business would ideally like business partners in addition to financial advisers.

Other attractions here are security, earnings and subsequent holidays! Kuwait has one of the lowest crime rates in the world, much better than the UK! The good commission rates here (up to 95% of BIC) mean that if you achieve your activity targets (measured in appointments per week), work smart and hard, your earnings will be such that you will not need to work more than 9 months of the year! Your boss in this role has not worked more than 9 months per year for the last 10 years!
