Job Description
The Catlin Arctic Survey, www.catlinarcticsurvey.com, is looking for an enthusiastic intern to assist with the 2010 expedition.
Day to day responsibilities will include producing and managing databases and liaising with external parties including suppliers, supporters and the media. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team, working closely with the online, PR and operations teams as well as offering ad-hoc assistance to team members.
The ideal candidate will be computer literate in Excel, Word and Powerpoint (preferably on a Mac). They will have a confident and professional telephone manner, a background in media is an advantage, be a good team player, with excellent interpersonal skills, plenty of common sense, ingenuity and a can-do attitude. An interest in the environment or the great outdoors is a real advantage.
The role is full time and whilst typically the role will be Monday to Friday, flexibility will be required. It is based in the Catlin Arctic Survey offices in Minster Court, London.
It is anticipated that the start date will be 1 Feb 2010 and the role will run until approx 7 May. The end date will coincide with the expedition return date which will be confirmed nearer the time. The salary is £5.80 p/h.
