THE COMPANY AND SITUATION:
A highly-respected and award-winning firm of financial advisers in Kuwait are now looking to expand their business with experienced financial services salespeople. The firm focuses on servicing the investment needs of high net worth individuals, bankers and private business people in Kuwait. The potential here is for high tax-free commission earnings and may well make a worthy bolt-hole from the consequences of the current credit crunch here in the UK!
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
The experience and attributes required for this role are as follows:
• A minimum of three years of experience in selling financial services, with a track record of success (Mortgage brokers, Bancassurers, Insurance, IFAs and tied agents are all acceptable)
• If not already FPC or FAIC qualified, then willingness to undertake FAIC
• Computer Literacy, including Excel spreadsheets
• A self-starter with no reluctance to cold-call!
Please note the above is essential – you require all of the above experience and attributes to be eligible for this role.
Desirable, but not essential, are the marketing abilities to expand the business as well as your own client base with a view to one day starting a new branch office of the company.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The prospect here is to become branch manager. For the right person, there is a genuine possibility that you could find yourself running an entire branch office. What we are ideally seeking is someone with the drive and abilities to not only establish your own client base but to help expand the business in addition. The owner of this business would ideally like business partners in addition to financial advisers. He would like to open a branch in Australia or South East Asia, so he will need someone to run Kuwait.
Conversely, those who would like to start an office from scratch in another Middle Eastern location such as Saudi, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar or Dubai would be most welcome and eventually rewarded with shares in the company.
Other attractions here are security, earnings and subsequent holidays! Kuwait has one of the lowest crime rates in the world, much better than the UK! The good commission rates here (up to 95% of BIC) mean that if you achieve your activity targets (measured in appointments per week), work smart and hard, your earnings will be such that you will not need to work more than 9 months of the year! Your boss in this role has not worked more than 9 months per year for the last 10 years!
