Our client is seeking an Actuarial Modelling Analyst to lead the building and enhancement of actuarial models.
Role Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Take ownership of the actuarial pricing models
Establish and manage and an actuarial modelling team
Optimise models to minimize runtime
Working closely with the pricing team and develop new functionality for actuarial models in a consistent manner
Develop a strategy to implement model enhancements from the pricing model into the valuation model
Develop and manage a change control process for actuarial models
Be jointly responsible for all actuarial sign off on IT system specification and testing
Support the pricing and valuation teams on an ad hoc basis as required
Mentor a team of actuarial students
The successful candidate should possess the following -
Qualified or nearly qualified actuary, with a strong technical background and at least 3 years experience an actuarial modelling role
Experience building models using profit testing software is essential. Experience using MoSes would be a strong advantage.
The ability to demonstrate excellent analytical, reporting and communication skills and to develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders is required.
